Maui Steel Guitar Festival

School Visitations

School Visistations were made to several Maui schools, including Kamehameha Schools, Seabury Hall, Kalama Intermediate School, and King Kekaulike High School. Visitations were made by teams of master steel guitarists and Next Generation steel guitar players and backup musicians. The classroom presentations included an introduction to the Hawaiian steel guitar, musical demonstrations, and hands-on opportunities for the students. The presentations were conducted to educate the students about the instrument and its importance in Hawaiian music and culture, and to stimulate interest in the instrument.
