Ross Kaaa is a self taught steel guitarist. He was the first steel guitarist at the "Old Lahaina Luau" show in July 1986, and is currently their steel guitar player Monday thru Friday. Ross has been fortunate in being asked to lend his steel guitar styling to well over a dozen different recording artists. His first recording session was with "Hulu Lindsey" and most recently with "Ahumanu."
Ross enjoyed listening to and working with Uncle Eddie Lau at the "Hilton Long House" then later at the "Hula Hut" in Waikiki. He also enjoys the sound and style of Japan's Lion Kobayashi.
Ross is an avid waterman and a pretty good Koa wood carver. He, his wife and three keiki make their home on Maui.
